You knew this was going to happen. Maybe you were even planning on it. (Not a good idea). But yes, the annual Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has been extended beyond its announced closing date of August 23. Its new closing date is September 12.
One advantage of going late in its run is more darkness to make the lighted installations and walk-through tunnels pop even more spectacularly. And you can still enjoy the family-friendly K-Pop Dance Party, featuring international op hits, interactive games and dance tutorials, and Asian food. In addition to the walk-thorough evenings, there are also additional drive-through nights
And the Zoo has announced something new for the festival’s 9th year: a choreographed drone show by Sky Elements Drone Shows with Tianyu Arts & Culture on the final night. You will probably want to grab your tickets for that quickly, as we can’t imagine it won’t sell out.
