Are you a cat lover? Are you looking for a cool place to hang out, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and fellow cat lovers? Then you will want to be at the Waterloo Alley Cat Project ‘s summer fundraiser at Cavotta’s Garden Center in South Collinwood.
WACP was started by Pete and Debbie Gulyas more than 15 years ago when they opened their business, Blue Arrow Records, in Waterloo Road, and were dismayed by the number of uncared-for feral cats running around. They began to get them spayed and neutered to cut down on the population and making sure they were fed and got vet care. They and their team of faithful volunteers have slashed the population growth with hundreds of spay/neuter operations, and make sure the dozens of cats under their care are happy and healthy. (Some of them live in Blue Arrow Records, if you’d like to drop in and say hi.)
At the Cavotta’s fundraiser, there will be music, raffles, including a 50/50 raffle, a chance to play kitty roulette, and various cat thingies to purchase (You might also buy one of Cavotta’s beautiful plants!). Cavotta’s also has a bar and menu available to purchase drinks and food.
It’s a 21+ event.
