Cowboy Princess Brigade, a six-piece band fronted by vocalist/ukulele players Ruby Rose Weston Guillette, has its own offbeat take on roots Americana music that it calls “Glamericana.” With a folkie base and a respect for traditional American roots music, it adds a touch of irreverence, color and a lot of fun. So far it’s put out a triptych of EPS it’s called Precious Metals.
Now it’s recording its first full-length album and it’s inviting fans to join it in the studio as its records at a Suma Session. This series, hosted by Suma Recording in Painesville, allows a band’s supporters to buy a ticket to be in the studio while they record, with the money going to help cover their recording costs. Not only do they get to listen to the session, they also get a tour of the studio, a post-session dessert and meet-and-greet session, and a digital download of the finished recording.
The band is promising “banger after banger of our original songs,” both tunes that have become their most popular staples at their shows, but also new material they say they’re most excited about. Go here for tickets.
