Lil’ John Rinardi was best known as a local TV personality who co-hosted TV8’s Big Chuck & Lil’ John Show, which featured horror films surrounding by skits heavy on local references. Hosts Chuck Schodowski (who passed away in January 2025) and Rinaldi, who was a successful and well-known local jeweler in his day job, became local celebrities, always in demand for a variety of public and private events.
Now retired at age 80, Lil’ John found the time to write a book about his crazy adventures, called Laughing My Way Through Life, which came out just recently. With his always humorous take on events, whether heartwarming, embarrassing, weird, amusing or potentially catastrophic, the book is a great read, relating not only stories about his TV mates, but also his family, his jewelry business, and his many many friends. He’s got great stories to spare and a game attitude about it all.
He’ll talk about his adventures — from wrestling a bear to crashing out at an Elvis impersonators convention — at a book release event at the Music Box Supper Club. (It’s his second; the first one a couple of weeks ago was sold out — a hint to his enduring popularity.) Doors open at 5pm for food; storytelling starts at 7pm.
