Juicy Vegan, which formerly served food from a corner inside the Nu Life Fitness Center in the Waterloo Arts District, moved next door to its own storefront where it’s got seating and serves an expanded menu of its plant-based specialties, dairy-free smoothies featuring real fruit, and wellness drinks such as its belly-burner teas. Most of its vegan-friendly menu mimics meat, with burgers, Philly steaks and chik’n sandwiches, but for those of us who don’t even like to pretend we’re eating meat there are all-veggie bowls and salads. They promote that they’re post-workout-friendly, so they haven’t forgotten their roots: eat and be healthy.
