Cleveland Rocks Past, Present & Future features three artists who’ve been through their incubator program. Artist/performer Ben Wretch activates SPACES, the Singers Club vocalizes about the British Isles, Walk All Over Waterloo launches CAN Journal’s latest volume, CMA MIX highlights women musicians of the 80s, and the Beachland kicks off its 26th anniversary celebration.
Speaking of celebrating, we’re honoring our women rockers from NEO next week at the Akron Civic on Fri 3/13 and the following week at the Music Box Supper Club on Thu 3/19 with Our Day Will Come: NEO Women Rock, featuring seven local women-led bands and artists doing covers of women heroes like Chrissie Hynde, Tracy Chapman, Ruby and The Romantics and others, then performing a couple of their own originals. Interviews with each of the artists plus short profiles of the artists honored will make it a unique and fun way to recognize Women’s History Month. Secure your seat and bring a friend. Shine on!
