"Grown Up Recess" Raises Money for Children's Museum Programs

Fri 2/27 @ 7-10PM

Most of the time the Children’ Museum of Cleveland is, well, for children. But sometimes, to raise some money to fund those kids’ activities, it invites adults in to take part in the fun with its “Grown Up Recess” events.

Its next one is called 90s Throwback which should capture some of the parents (and even grandparents) of today’s kids. The event will feature all sorts of 90s nostalgia, from games to toys to trinkets. If you still fit into those 90s jeans, wear them; if not, just find something with that vibe. The evening will include 90s-style games kike Twister and Bop-It, hit tunes from the era (you can sing them in the karaoke lounge), retro snacks and more. There’ll be tons of crafting tables to make things like beaded keychains and slap bracelets, a themed photo-op station and a chance to visit the eight exhibit spaces to see what you’ve been missing out on my not being a kid.

Proceeds benefit the museum’s reduced and free admission programs to make sure all kids can enjoy the museum, regardless of family income. It’s an 18 and over event. Get tickets here.
