Cleveland comedian Kadijah Wingo aka Kwingo brought her show to Cleveland Public Theatre last spring. Now she’ll be back for the holidays with a special show called Kwingo’s Sketch Party, featuring original sketch comedy that folds in seasonal references and “piping-hot queer joy.”
A graduate of the Cleveland School of the Arts who went on to study theater at Ohio University, Wingo currently performs both stand-up and sketch comedy with groups such as Don’t Tell Comedy CLE, Snowflake Comedy, Con Tú Variety Show and Imposters Theater, who she directed, co-wrote and co-produced BLK Stream, it’s first all-Black sketch show.
She’ll bring her own distinctive slant to holiday cheer at CPT for three shows to kick of CPT’s three weekends of special seasonal programming. Get tickets here.
