Endurance Champ Katie Spotz Comes Home to Cleveland

Thu 7/1 @ 2PM

Mentor native Katie Spotz has broken so many endurance records in her young life, it’s difficult to keep them all straight.

She was the youngest to row SOLO across the Atlantic OCEAN. The first to swim the entire 325-mile Allegheny River. Five-time IRONMAN triathlete.  Cycled across New Zealand. Twice. Cycled 3300 miles across the United States. With a broken pelvis.

Katie was the first to run 137 miles across the entire STATE of Maine. Then she did the same across Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Now she’s running 11 ultra marathons (36+ miles each) from Cincinnati to Cleveland in 11 days to raise money for 11 water projects in Uganda.

She’ll finish her run across the state of Ohio on Thu 07.11 at 2PM at Edgewater Park.

The least you can do is be there to welcome her. Or donate to her charity Lifewater to bring global water projects to villages in Africa.
