Two Local Park Districts Offer Full Moon Hikes

Mon 10/26

A full moon is always a good excuse for an evening hike.  And both the Geauga Park District and Summit Metro Parks are jumping on it.

At Geauga Park District’s Observatory part, you can join a hike from 7-8pm to observe nature at sunset and watch the full moon rise through the park’s telescopes. It’s free and no registration is required.

At Summit Metropark’s Deep Lock Quarry Metro Park, Spree With Me: Howl-O-Ween at the Moon will offer the opportunity to go on a moonlit stroll with a naturalist who’ll give a short presentation about one of the area’s most elusive predators, coyotes, followed by a walk along the 1.4 mile quarry trail hoping to locate a coyote or two – but don’t count on it. Still, you’ll see the moon if the weather is clear. This walk is also free. Go HERE for more information.
