Bike Cleveland Holds Its Annual Meeting Remotely

Thu 1/28 @ 5:30-7PM

Did you find yourself hauling out the bicycle a lot more during the pandemic and really getting to see more of the region in this safe, socially distanced way that’s also great exercise? Maybe you even found yourself thinking about a few things that would make the area safer and more cyclist-friendly.

If so, this is the perfect time to join Bike Cleveland, formed 10 years ago to advocate for cyclists as well as to bring the together for both social and advocacy events. Their annual meeting takes place this week — on Zoom, of course — but by joining you can hear about the work they’re doing and figure out where you might fit in.

The meeting’s special guest is Vision Zero Network’s founder/executive director Leah Shahum, which has advocated for safe, health transportation options for 20 years; she’s also been active in the Bay area cycling community, working with organizations such as the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition, the SF Municipal Transportation Agency, and the national Alliance for Biking and Walking.

Current members will get an email with an entry code. Others can purchase a ticket and become members. Go here to join.
