Sample Gourmet Treats and Learn to Make Them at CBG's Gourmets at the Garden

Summer is the Cleveland Botanical Garden’s peak session when everything is lush and in bloom, and visitors can fully enjoy its outdoor spaces.

One of the things they can enjoy each summer is its monthly Gourmets at the Garden series, featuring noted local chefs preparing a dish to sample with instructions on how to create it at home. Its debut event will be hosted by Ben Bebenroth of Spice Catering Co. Bebenroth also has Spice Acres, a 13-acres farm in Cuyahoga Valley Nation Park, where he sources many of his ingredients. He’ll be making beetroot and tea-cured radish on top of fried sushi rice cakes with citrus and sesame. Sounds very summery!

Hosts of future Gourmets at the Garden evenings are Bianca Beach from Llamacita Foods (July 9), Eric Wells from Skye LaRae’s (July 30) and Ryan Boone from Shooters (August 20).
