The Yellowcake Shop, located in a storefront in Gordon Square, was founded by Valerie Mayen shortly after she appeared on Project Runway in 2010.
Her own aesthetic isn’t trendy. She creates comfortable, wearable, well-made pieces (made right here in the U.S.!) — pieces that won’t go out of style next season and look great on women of all ages, sizes and shapes. Her welcoming shop offers coats, dresses, pants, sweats and tees, leggings, jumpsuits, tunics, accessories, jewelry and items such as body products made by other artisans in her network.
Mayen also offers wardrobes consultations and regularly hosts special shopping/self-care events at her space.
