Organist Todd Wilson Improvises to Classic Films as Part of a Workshop Event at Baldwin Wallace

Fri 1/11 @ 7PM

Todd Wilson is organist and music director at Trinity Cathedral downtown. He’s the head of the organ department at Cleveland institute of Music. He’s played concerts across the country and in Europe and Japan, and he’s known to Severance Hall audiences especially for his concerts in which he performs to accompany a film.

It’s that latter role he’s taking out to Berea to Baldwin Wallace University’s Boesel Musical Arts Center. He’ll improvise music to Laurel & Hardy film Big Business and Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid, as part of the Kulas Keyboard Series to kick off a two-day Keyboard Improvisation Workshop event. It starts with an opening session at 4pm Friday, followed by a dinner at 5:30 and the concert at 7pm. That’s followed by classes on Saturday morning. Tickets (which include dinner) are $45.
