Near West Theatre Celebrates Hispanic Culture on Its Outdoor Plaza

Fri 8/28 @ 5-10PM

Near West Theatre presents the last of its Community Celebration Summer Plaza Concert Series as it presents its Hispanic Heritage Celebration on its outdoor plaza.

They didn’t have to go far to find entertainment: performers include the Near West Theatre’s own actors, musicians and dancers, salsa musician Papo Ruiz, owner of the nearby Rincon Criollo restaurant and a well-known figure in Cleveland’s Puerto Rican community, and performers from the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, with a dance lesson from Baila con Lali.

There’ll also be information tables from area organizations including the Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center, Latin US Theatre, Adrian Santiago, Bomani Beauty and Hispanic Heritage-themed crafts. And guess who’ll be providing the food? Right: Rincon Criollo! The event is free and open to all and all-ages friendly. Find a schedule and more information HERE.
