North Coast Men’s Chorus Closes Its 30th Season with “It’s About Time” at the Hanna Theatre

Sat 6/16 @ 8PM

Sun 6/17 @ 3PM

The North Coast Men’s Chorus closes out its 30th season at the Hanna Theatre on Playhouse Square this weekend. The show’s theme is “It’s About Time,” in which they’ll reflect on the past and look ahead at what’s to come.

The organization started with a handful of singers performing in area churches, and has now grown to a point where as many as 75-80 singers might participate in a particular program and more than 100 are “members.” (Each program is rehearsed separately, and participation is fluid with singers taking breaks as their lives intervene). Now it performs three regular programs a year including a holiday program, and special concerts with celebrity singers such as their recent concert with Maureen McGovern, and makes appearances at a variety of community events including annual Pride celebrations.

They’ve become known for the way their programs mix genres, blend silly and serious, lighthearted and sentimental, and how they incorporate staging, dancing, costumes and narrative into their shows for evenings that offer complete entertainment. No wonder most of their shows sell out!

Tickets are $20-$40.
