The work of artist Jenniffer Omaitz, who has degrees in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art and Kent State University, is prolific and diverse. She’s shown her work regularly in both Cleveland and Denver.
Her latest show Constructions opens this week at BAYarts. It features recent work —paintings, assemblages and a site-specific installation— that explore “ideas architecture, geometry and painterly abstraction in 2D and 3D.” it’s the first time she’s done a site-specific installation.
Her artist statement says, “Spaces both real and imagined; dualities, boundaries, and new experiences become compounded authentic experience. Energy from both practices reveal a depth of investigation for ongoing interrelationships between order and chaos as they fluctuate between environment and dimension.”
The exhibit opens with a reception Fri 3/9 @ 7-9PM and remains on view through Fri 4/6.
