Local artist Gary Dumm has acquired a reputation through the comics he’s been creating for more than 45 years. In his Black and White Art Show, opening at Gallery Plus at the 78th Street Studios, the focus will be on his pure drawing skills with which he evokes personality and emotions.

There’ll be both published and unpublished work on view including original art from comics he’s worked on including American Splendor, where he worked with Cleveland’s late legendary sad sack Harvey Pekar, Zombie Moon, Lois, BeBopman, and graphic novels Ego & Hubris, SDS a Graphic History, and music bios from the Music Maker newsletter.

He’ll have books, comics and prints for sale and he’ll be on hand to autograph them at the reception from 5-9pm during Third Friday.
