Convergence Continuum stages "Contemporary Dream Play" About Three Texas Sisters

Fri 3/22-Sun 6/13

Tremont-based Convergence-Continuum theater, now in its 25th season, has never been accused of not being adventurous in its choice of scripts to produce. Its next production, opening this weekend, is no exception. It will present the Ohio premiere of Texas native playwright/screenwriter Will Arbery’s 2018 dark comedy, Plano. Drawing on his own background, it follows three Texas sisters — Isabel, Anne and Genevieve — as they cope with a variety of problems, both real and surreal, as the play explores how family memories impact current relationships and personal realities. It’s been described as a “contemporary dream play.”

Kari Barclay directs a cast that includes Carolyn Demanelis, Katie Simon Atkinson, Ariana Starkman, Michael Frye, Angel Centeno, Sam Bartlett and Molly McFadden. Plano opens Friday May 22 and runs Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3pm through June 13 at Convergence-Continuum’s home, the Liminis. Go here for tickets.
