Sat 6/4-Sun 6/26
Talespinner Children’s Theatre presents another of its distinctive and horizon-expanding productions based on folk tales from around this world. The story on which The Crocodile, the Cobra, and the Girl Down the Well is based comes from India. It revolves around a seven-year-old girl with a problem who turns to a magical old storyteller for help. It’s been shaped into stage-worthy material by local writer Anne McEvoy. Melissa Crum directs the production which runs Fridays and Saturdays @ 7pm, and Saturdays and Sundays @ 3pm through Sun 6/26.
Tickets are $10 for 12 and under; $15 for ages 13 and up; and $12 for seniors and students with ID — because these colorful, engaging stage presentations, which incorporate costumes, masks, dance, puppets and audience interaction, are not strictly for kids! There are also four pay-what-you-can performances so no one is left out: Sun 6/5, Fri 6/10, Fri 6/17 and Fri 6/24.
