Whenever the Ohio Burlesque Fest puts on a show, you can count on them bringing something new and different to the stage of the Beachland Ballroom.
They’re billing their upcoming show Star Wars Burlesque: The Tease Awakens as “the biggest nerdlesque show to hit Cleveland… burlesque at its nerdiest.”
Each of the performers will be adopting the persona of a different character from the classic Star Wars films. OBF founder Bella Sin has grabbed one of the choicest characters for herself: Darth Vader (She’s not evil in real life — she’s really very sweet!)
Other performers include Arizona’s Aerie Elle (Padmé Amidala) and Linzypoo (Zam Wesell), Doll Bambino (Han Solo), Rubina Mamelons (Jar Jar Binks), the Doll Carousel (Trapeze Storm Trouper Duet), Lady J Martinez (Chewbacca), Noella Deville (Boba Fett), Lilith Avalon (Death Star), Sable Champagne (R2D2), Marley Teenie (Princess Leia), Kinsey Quake (C3PO), Ellie St Cyr (Kylo Ren) and Fever Blister (Imperial Guard). The stage kittens, who pick up after the performers, will be the Death Star Guard, and MC Ken Schneck will be Luke Skywalker.
Fear’s Confections will be on hand with Star Wars-themed chocolates; there will be a Star Wars Cover Girl Collection raffle to benefit OBF’s charity of the year Dare2Care, and there will be an audience costume contest, so come dressed if you want to participate.
Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Reserved and VIP are already sold out.
