Roland Paolucci is another of those outstanding jazz musicians northeast Ohio is lucky enough to have around, thanks to its multitude of college and university jazz studies programs. In fact, he founded the jazz studies program at the University of Akron.
He’s also a former music director of the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, during which time he worked with all the best area players as well as jazz greats like Clark Terry, Milt Hinton, Benny Carter, Sarah Vaughn and Louie Bellson. So you know he has some serious credentials.
He’ll be dropping by Blu Jazz Arkon as part of the club’s Wednesday evening showcases of the top jazz pianists in northeast Ohio. It’s his debut at the club. And astonishingly, you can hear this caliber of keyboard talent there every week for free. Come have a cocktail and hear some great jazz.
