Les Délices, Cleveland-based early music chamber ensemble, officially kicks off its 2026-27 season in early October with “Bach’s Musical Offering.”

But before that, the group is hosting a season preview at The Treelawn Music Hall in the Waterloo Arts District. The program is called “The Poet & The Prodigy Reimagined” and features work by baroque composers such as J.S. Bach,  CPE Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, and François Couperin.

The group’s original “The Poet & the Prodigy” program paired the music of Couperin and Bach. Now they’ve reimagined it for this performance adding works by CPE Bach and Telemann.

“This concert has a little something for everyone,” says Les Délices’ founder/artisti director/oboist Debra Nagy. “Not only do we get to enjoy Couperin’s penchant for elegance and atmosphere and J.S. Bach’s intellectual side and his virtuosity, but we’ll also share music by Bach’s son Carl Philipp, who composed amazing melodies and knew just how to pull on the heart strings. In addition, a viola da gamba solo by Antoine Forqueray provides a character portrait of Couperin and Telemann’s music brings additional energy and humor.”

The program is free/pay what you want.
