For nearly two decades, the Diner on Clifton attracted crowds for breakfast, lunch and dinner to the spot on the Lakewood/Cleveland border. After losing his lease, co-owner Perry Drosos moved it to a new space located across W. 117th in Lakewood under the (somewhat) new name Dinerbar on Clifton in mid 2018.
Crowds continue to flock to the spot, which fortunately is twice as large as the old one, for its large menu of upscale diner classics — salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, mac & cheese, all-day breakfast items, nearly two dozen entrees and copious pastries, in addition to a full bar featuring wine, beer and cocktails. There are even a few surprises such as a tuna poke bowl. A large raised patio offers outdoor dining in warm weather.
