Dang Good Foods got its start as a food truck before it moved in late 2019 into the Lakewood space vacated by Thai Thai when it moved into a larger space up the street.
Owner Daniel Ang grew up in Singapore, where the food was a melting pot of Malay, Chinese and Indian influences. He’s taken all of those and added Japanese, Korean and Western flavors for a menu that’s familiar yet truly different.
And that catchy name? Not what you think. The owner’s name was always automatically abbreviated as D.Ang, so, why not go with it?
Pro tip: Given how small the storefront space is, it also does copious takeout orders.
