In spring 2017, the former Fanucce’s pizza shop in downtown Willoughby underwent a transformation and emerged with a complete overhaul as Hook & Hoof, which bills itself as a “New American Kitchen and Cocktail” establishment, with equal emphasis on quality food and drink.
All menu items are made from scratch with seasonal, often local, ingredients, and includes sharable apps, entrees ranging from scallops to chicken to pork chops to burgers with interesting twists, and a handful of sides. It’s not the most vegetarian-friendly place around but those who eschew meat will find a few selections. The list of more than a dozen cocktails includes classics and H&H originals; the menu of whiskeys — scotch, rye and bourbon — is enormous; and their wines comes from France, Italy, Spain, New Zealand, Chile, California, Washington and Oregon.
