Tacologist opened in spring 2019 in part of the space left behind by the sprawling Corner Alley, which a year earlier, on the corner of Ford and Euclid in University Circle. And Tacologist itself is large, more than 4000 square feet with a spacious patio.

Managed by the owners of the Tres Potrillos Mexican restaurants, it’s more ambitious and I keeping with the scientific/academic environment of nearby Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals, with charts and tables that reveal the chemical makeup of the food and beverage menu.

That menu includes freshly made tacos — corn or flour shells — ready to be washed dow with margaritas, tequila, cocktails or ice-cold beer. The décor is imported from Mexico but the flat screen TVs are all-American.
