Opening Fri 11/19 @ 5 – 7PM
“The Abstracted Plane” is a new exhibition showcasing the abstract works of Erik Neff and Dana Oldfather. Expand your mind w/ a shot of expressive, creative, abstract art via two local oil painters. (Sounds kinda trippy.)
About Erik & Dana:
Erik Neff is inspired and driven by the innate tendencies of paint when making his oils on panel. His forms evoke images of impossible graceful structures that could double as living organisms. Color and texture accentuate the complexity of Neff’s abstracts revealing a hand experienced in image making.
Dana Oldfather uses delicately rendered thin paint layers and carefully drawn forms over fluidly expressive space. Abstracted kites pull and stretch thin lines between parading abstractions, floating spheres, and sprawling drawings. When building these intricate mindscapes, Dana is concerned with translating moving volume into static area, or turning four dimensions into two.
