Also on the bill is the exciting all-star Trumpet Summit featuring Sean Jones, Dominick Farinacci, Tommy Lehman, and Curtis Taylor. This is a special tribute to the outstanding educational program at Tri-C JazzFest.

The 45th Tri-C JazzFest features a cornucopia of jazz flavors from June 20-22, from superstars like Ledisi, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Take 6 and the Marcus Miller/Bob James Quartet to Scary Goldings, Jason Moran and the Bandwagon to Harold López-Nussa: Timba a la Americana/Diego Figueiredo and Charles Lloyd Ocean Trio II featuring Gerald Clayton & Marvin Sewell.  MINDFULNESS

It’s time to really think about making the most of your summer: drinking in the beauty of nature and the warmth of the sun, and slowing down your pace a little. On her upcoming retreat (June 7-9) at Parma’s Jesuit Retreat Center, she promises, “We will walk, meditate, journal, dance, laugh, create mandalas, and discuss the meaning of presence, mindfulness, authenticity, judgment, love, joy, abundance, and faith. And in the spaces between, we will practice the physical movements of yoga with yin, restorative, and vinyasa flow sessions. Read more.
