Once again, for the 23rd year, Kent-based arts nonprofit Standing Rock Cultural Arts hosts its Dia de los Muertos art show.
The group show will features work in a variety of mediums by artists who have been regulars in SRCA’s shows and well as newcomers — artists booked so far include Vince Packard, Maria Burr Walter, Trey Berry, Kathryn Lawson, Amanda Lanier, Nikki Puccini, Martyn Flunoy, Jeannette Bill-Cole and Deborah Butler, with more to be added. To liven things up, once again the band Mariachi Santa Cecilia will provide music starting at 7:30pm, and Katie Mikita will be doing a belly dance performance.
They’ll also be celebrating the 33rd anniversary of SRCA’s Gallery. It’s free and all are welcome to party until the wee hours.
