Cleveland pianist Leo Coach, who heads the music program at Ursuline College and teaches courses in world music at Cleveland State University, is noted for his interest and proficiency in global music genres and his collaboration with artists across genres and disciplines. And this Thursday he’ll be leading an event called Infusion at the BOP STOP.
It brings together musicians from India with some of Northeast Ohio’s outstanding jazz musicians. They include Joe Culley on tabla; Lalit Subramaniam on vocals, mirdangam and kanjira; Medha Lalit Iyer on violin; Kamryn McCrory on cello; Sreekrishna Pasumarty on flutes; and Reed Simon on violin, along with Coach himself.
