Heights Arts’ Close Encounters series offers classical music fans the opportunity to see small ensembles of some of the area’s top musicians (often moonlighting Cleveland Orchestra members) in intimate settings.
The final concert of the season, called Bach and Beyond, will feature the Taplin Quartet — violinists Katherine Bormann and Jeff Zehngut, violist Gareth Zehngut and cellist Nora Willauer — as it celebrates J.S. Bach’s chorales arranged for a string quartet, along with Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet Op 76, No. 5 and Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 10 aka the Harp Quartet.
