Sat 5/30 @ 7-9PM
Join the Cleveland Ballet in an informal outdoor setting when they perform in the Akron Art Museum’s Bud and Susie Rogers Garden.
The diverse program will include excerpts from the classic evening-length ballet Swan Lake, Picnic, which features dance created by Cleveland Ballet’s Artistic Director Timour Bourtasenkov set to Pyotr Illycih Tchaikovsky’s dances for piano and violin, and “Dance of the Toreadors,” from the full-length ballet Don Quixote.
Prior to the program, ticket holders can enjoy afterhours gallery browsing, a small reception and a short “Behind the Curtain” pre-performance talk from 6:15-6:30pm. The performance starts at 7pm. Go here for tickets.
