Sun 7/5 @ 4-7PM
The perfect way to wind down from the long July 4 weekend is to head down to the Music Box Supper Club in the Flats for its weekly Reggae Sunday. Each week, the patio doors are open for the music to drift out as patrons enjoy outdoor seating and an outdoor tiki bar serving tropical-themed drinks. The menu goes Jamaican for these afternoon, with choices such as jerk chicken.
And the music is provided by some of the region’s top reggae artists (and an occasional guest act). This week it’s Columbus’ Ark Band, who are well-known for their many visits up north over the last several decades. Founded almost 40 years ago by a pair of brothers from the island of St. Lucia, the band mingles a variety of sounds of Caribbean origin, including soca, calypso and of course reggae.
Admission is free.
