Animation Film Fest, With Work by CIA Students and Alum, Comes to Waterloo Gallery

Fri 6/26 @ 6-8PM

This weekend, Waterloo Arts gallery in the Waterloo Arts District will be hosting a showcase featuring the work of a handful of the many talented students at the Cleveland Institute of Art, as well as alumni.

Called Cartoon Magic: CIA Short Films, it’s presented in partnership with Davon Brantley, who put together the gallery’s current exhibition, Blooming Tides, a group show featuring work in diverse media by nine Black, Latin and AAPI artists exploring how their cultures interact with and influence each other.

This evening will be an opportunity to see that show, which will be on view through July 18, as well as animation work hosted by CIA students Anyla Jones, Sabi Nagiyev, Kelly Pham and Alysha Syed. The event is free, but you must register since space is limited. Go here.
