Laura Varcho‘s sparkling voice dances deftly through the jazz-leaning arrangements of beloved jazz, blues and classic pop repertoire, throwing off both warm and heat.
The local singer has headlined venues like Nighttown and Cain Park’s Jazz in the Afternoon series and been a regular performer at the Tri-C Jazz Fest. Now she’ll be performing at Akron’s new jazz venue BLU Jazz +, where she and one of the area’s outstanding jazz pianists Rock Wehrmann will debut some new tunes they’ve worked up.
