Night Terrors Bring Their Experimental Sound Back to the BOP STOP

Wed 11/11 @8:00-9:15PM

Cleveland ensemble Night Terrors is a duo which features two area musicians knows for their bold experimental sonic journeys: electric guitarist Tim Mirth and percussionist Paul Stranahan, both of whom have been part of a range of musical projects. They describe Night Terrors as “a template of soundscapes and movements to take one through some kind of hazy, often scary, dream.”

Night Terrors bases its sound on open-ended compositions that leave space for improvisation. Jazz, metal and avant-garde music all figure into their performances. Mirth uses extensive guitar effects, while Stranahan is known for expanding his drum kit with gongs and Tibetan singing bowls.

The group is doing a livestreamed performance from one of their regular venues, the BOP STOP. It will be available on the club’s Facebook page. It’s free but donations to the band and venue are encouraged.
