Jazz Pianist Cliff Habian Finally Performs Twice-Delayed Holiday Show

Sun 4/10 @ 6PM

Cliff Habian is an accomplished local jazz pianist, with training in both jazz and classical music. He attended the Cleveland Institute of Music as a composition major, worked for more than a decade at the Music Settlement and has performed with a diverse range of artists including Joe Lovano, Dominick Farinacci, Wayne Newton, Bobby Vinton and even Trent Reznor. He currently teaches at the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby.

He was supposed to perform a holiday show there called “A Tribute to the Music of Vince Guaraldi,” featuring music by another jazz pianist who was best known for the music he composed for the TV shows based on the Peanuts comic strips, including the standard “Christmas Time Is Here” from A Charlie Brown Christmas. Omicron scrapped those plans, and the show was postponed until February.

It’s FINALLY taking place at Market Garden Brewery in Ohio City. He’ll be joined by three veterans of the local jazz scene: guitarist Pete Cavano, bassist Jeff Slater and drummer Eric Everett. Tickets from the previous two dates will be honored. If you don’t have tickets, go here to buy them.
