Cleveland Public Theatre’s annual DanceWorks series closes this weekend with performances by Double-Edge Dance, one of the area’s lesser-known dance ensembles despite being 25 years old.

The company, co-founded by choreographer Kora Radella and composer Ross Feller, blends music, movement and visuals to produce its works. At CPT it will perform a new work called Love Cry, using the music of avant-garde jazz saxophone player, native Clevelander and John Adams High School graduate Albert Ayler who has become a legend since his premature death at age 34 in 1970. It also utilizes textile art by Rebecca Cross.

Sequinza, a solo by Calder White based on vogueing, and Reckoning, featuring Radella and actor Chris Seibert, are also on the program. Tickets are $12-$30.
