
Once again, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has a busy summer of music and events lined up, taking place on its outdoor plaza and stage, starting in early June and running through September. Concerts include both national headliners and local bands, events include community- and family-oriented festivals.
Ticketed concerts by touring artists kick off on June 12 with Michigan’s Hot Mulligan, plus Snarls and Runaways Brother. Catch Cimafunk on July 29, Dave Hill and Falling Stars on July 26, The Church on July 30, Night Demon with local metal bands Destructor and Sacred Few on August 9,vPWNK Records Showcase on August 24, and St. Vincent with Gustaf on August 29.
The live & local series will feature July 11 Jinari Kemet & The Black Jackets and Crib Collective (July 11), DaLand Brass Band and Esther Fitz (July 18), King Buu and Simon & the Apparatus (July 24), Vince Nerone and MyKayla (July 31), TRUSS and PAL (August 7), Whatever… and Lives of the Saints (August 14) and Biitchseat and The Sonder Bombs (August 21). A local comedian to be announced later will kick off each of these evenings.
The Rock Hall will also be offering Lunch by the Lake from July 11-August 22, Thursdays through Sundays @ noon-2pm in the plaza beer garden where you can grab some food and listen to live acoustic music performances for free.
There will also be a variety of community programming including Mx. Juneteenth, a Pride/Juneteenth mash-up event (June 21); the Fam Jam family festival (June 28); the Artists in Residence Showcase (August 8); the Salsa Across Borders Festival and Competition (August 23); and the Hispanic Heritage Celebration (September 20). All are free.
