There’s a Fall Festival & Market and Trick-or-Treating at Geneva-on-the-Lake

Sat 10/24 @ 1-7PM

The high season is over at Geneva-on-the-Lake, northeast Ohio’s old-fashioned summer resort town. Summer is over. Sigh

But that doesn’t mean everything is at a standstill. This Saturday it’s hosting a Fall Carnival and Market and Halloween Party, with spooky season activities to engage people of all ages. Families can start at the GotL Welcome Center from 1-3pm to get a free bag to hold what they get on the Trick-or-Treat Trail. The fall carnival happens form 2-6pm where there’ll be bounce houses, games, candy, face painting and entertainers including a clown, a balloon artist, stilt walkers and fire performers. All activities are free. At the same time, there’ll be a fall market with “oddities & curiosities” vendors, and food trucks with belly-warming seasonal fall foods.

Kids didn’t get enough candy yet? Trunk-or-Treat takes place from 4-6pm behind GotL Village Hall. At 6:30 tote your blanket or chair over to the golf course for a movie (we don’t know which one but it’s sure to be family-friendly). And at 7pm there’s the Monster Glow Run, a one-mile costumed run beginning and ending at the golf course.

While you’re in Geneva-on-the-Lake get a sneak preview of what next summer has in store by strolling over to the city park east of the Strip and taking a look at the new BEACH that has been constructed there this summer. Yes, an actual public BEACH. Woo-hoo!
