XCSB Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary with a Record Fair and Concert at Treelawn on Waterloo

Sat 5/16 @ noon-5PM & 7PM

Not only has the staff of Cleveland State University’s former radio station WCSB-FM not rolled over and accepted its demise following the university’s unceremonious pulling of the plug on its broadcast signal without warning last October, it’s continuing to look toward its future as it marks its 50th anniversary under the name XCSB.

On Saturday March 16, it’ll be throwing a party at the Treelawn in the Waterloo Arts District, just a few blocks from where the new studio for its internet incarnation is located. It’ll start with a Record Fair taking place in both room of the building from noon to 5pm with more than a dozen vendors from around the region and XCSB DJs spinning music to help you shop.

Then, in the Music Hall, a lineup of Cleveland bands will play music all night for free. They include Suitor, Pro Skater and Plastic Wallflowers. Doors are at 6; music starts at 7pm. Yeah, it really is free, but you can make a donation to the station thrive in its new form. Go here.

Keep up with the latest on XCSB here.
