Summit Metro Parks’ Metro Parks Ensemble, an all-volunteer band, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this summer. Its 41 members, some of whom have played with the group for the entire time while others are new this year, play Tuesday evening concerts at various metro park locations. They perform a wide-ranging repertoire of familiar pieces including Broadway tunes, TV themes, and big band standards.
Its Music by the Lake series starts this week at the Munroe Falls Metro Park. Bring your chair or blanket, and if you like, a picnic. Cycling Without Age will have its trishaw bikes available, providing transportation and a seat for those with limited mobility.
