Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens Turns on the Holiday Lights for Deck the Hall

Fri 11/28-Tue 12/30

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens was once a spacious estate for one of Akron’s wealthy citizens, Goodyear Tire and Rubber co-founder F.A. Seiberling. Built in 1911, it was donated in 1957 to a nonprofit foundation to become a museum open to the public.

Each year, it pulls out all the stops for the holidays with Deck the Hall, giving visitors a feel for the upper class celebrated Christmas 100 years ago, with some modern touches including outdoor lighting displays and Dazzle light show. The various rooms in the Manor House are decorated with different themes, and guests will find Santa holding court in the Carriage House Courtyard every day from 4-8pm through December 23.

There’s hot cocoa and gingerbread cookies available in Molly’s Courtyard Café, gifts and holiday decor in Molly’s Shop, and poinsettias in the Corbin Conservatory.

Deck the Hall is open from 3–9:00 p.m. November 28-30, December 4-7, December 11-14, December 18-23 and December 26-30. Get your tickets here.
