Sat 10/25

The Rock Solid benefit at the Treelawn in theWaterloo Arts District attracted a who’s who of local music scene supporters. The event was a fundraiser for the nonprofit Cleveland Rocks: Past Present Future, founded more than ten years ago by Beachland co-owner Cindy Barber. In addition to food, drink, raffles and silent auctions for prizes such as private concerts by some of the area’s best musicians, the evening featured performances by Jenna Fournier (Kid Tiger), vocalist Natasha Daya, world-touring Cleveland band Welshly Arms, and a short opening set by host the ubiquitous Brent Kirby and his compadre, Rock Hall VP/musician Andy Leach. In addition state senator Kent Smith spoke about potential legislation to help keep small music venues afloat and help fund the arts.
