Thu 6/12 @ 4-8PM
This week the Cleveland Metroparks kicks off its summer-long series of free, outdoor concerts taking place at six of its reservations, starting Thursday June 12 and running through Saturday August 16. The schedule offers something for most tastes: a lot of classic rock cover bands, of course, but also some singer/songwriters, diverse genres and even interesting original acts.
Over the course of the next two months, there will be monthly Thursday happy hour concerts at Wallace Lake, Edgewater Beach and Euclid Beach. There are also Wednesday concerts at Huntington Beach every Wednesday except July 2, Friday concerts at Emerald Necklace Marina every week except July 4, and Merwin’s Wharf in the Flats by the Cuyahoga River every Saturday except July 5. Looking at the schedule, the August happy hour concerts look like the real winners, with Apostle Jones at Wallace Lake, Carlos Jones (no relation) and the P.L.U.S band at Edgewater Beach, and the Project Hope Gospel Choir at Euclid Beach,
All locations will feature food trucks and/or Metroparks concessions. The concerts start this Thursday June 12 at the newly improved Wallace Lake area in Mill Stream Run Reservation when BackTraxx performs disco and rock oldies. Go here for a full schedule.
