Each year, FreshFest at Rid-All Green Partnership’s sprawling farm in the Kinsman neighborhood gets bigger and bigger, attracting an all ages/all races crowd to this once-abandoned property. The daylong event features lots of food, vendors, art, local social services, environmental and government organizations, yoga, meditation and other health-related activities, a roller rink, a playground, and more. Throughout he grounds people played chess, jumped rope and line danced. The big stage featured some of the area’s most engaging performers such as Charity Evonne, A.M. The Queen and Floco Torres. As usual FreshFest concluded with a big-name performer from the old-school hip hop scene, this time Big Daddy Kane.
