This week, Akron’s Lock 3 will activate its adjacent Cascade Plaza space behind the Akron Civic Theatre for a series of free Wednesday evening concerts, called Live & Local, through August 30. There’ll be snacks and drinks available for purchase or you can bring your own food, perhaps order takeout from one of the nearby restaurants to eat while you listen. Bring your chair or blanket.
The series opens with Akron-based reggae group Umojah Nation so you may be on your feet dancing most of the time! The schedule for the rest of June includes Charita Franks & WTF band (June 14), Hubb’s Groove (June 21) and Deep South Akron (June 28).
