Playhouse Square’s Puente Viejo closed two years ago and the space remained empty during the pandemic, until 1942 Tacos and Tequila opened in the spring of 2022. Mexican food lovers will be happy for the cuisine continuity with tacos, burritos, fajitas, lunch specials. multiple margarita choices (beer and wine are also available) and a kids’ menu. Open at 11 am for lunch and into the evening for pre/post-theater crowd.
