Heights Arts’ Art Bar Is an Evening of Music, Poetry & Drinks

Thu 6/30 @ 7-9PM

Come hang out at Heights Art’s Gallery space in Cleveland Heights’ Cedar-Lee district for an evening of diverse performances dubbed Art Bar.

Cleveland Heights poet laureate, musician/poet Ray McNiece, will be joining a jazz group featuring sax player Reggie Redd, keyboard player Leo Coach and vocalist/flutist Nancy Redd. He’ll do some of his original performance poetry, an area where he outdoes almost every other performance poet in the area with his natural flow and sharp delivery. And the combo will do some jazz, blues and pop standards such as “St. James Infirmary,” “I Put a Spell on You,” “Summertime” and “Moondance,” as well as some original improvisations.

But it’s an art bar, right? So there are drinks too! They’re be offering “ARTini” cocktails, along with beer, wine and sparkling wine, plus an assortment of smacks.

Tickets are $20 for Heights Art members, $25 for non-members.

ARTbar – Thursday, June 30, 7:00–9:00 p.m.
